Craft materials vary enormously by brand and batch: wax blends melt and cure differently, fabrics shrink by weave, resin systems have their own mixing ratios and pour-depth limits printed on their labels.

Our calculators use widely used reference values for planning, but your product's technical data sheet — especially for anything involving fragrance limits, lye, or resin chemistry — is the final word. Never exceed a manufacturer's maximum fragrance load or pour depth; those limits exist for safety, not style.

Accuracy of calculations

We implement well-known, publicly documented formulas (see the methodology section on each calculator page and published craft-industry reference charts as applicable). Even correctly implemented formulas produce estimates that depend on your inputs and assumptions. Real-world outcomes vary. Do not rely on a single web tool for a consequential decision.
